The classical Persian poetry that Ahmad Zahir set to music — including works by Rumi, Hafiz, Saadi, Bedil, and Malek o-Shoara Bahar — is in the public domain by virtue of its age. Where lyrics or recordings remain under copyright held by third parties, they are presented in a documentary and critical context; all rights in such works remain with their respective owners.

Ahmad Zahir’s name, recordings, and likeness are referenced for identification and commentary. This site is an independent archive and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or the official representative of Ahmad Zahir’s estate or any record label. Embedded audio and video are hosted by third parties (e.g. YouTube) and are subject to those platforms’ terms; this site hosts no audio or video files.
