I have called on God so many nights in your memory That in the court of God I have raised a resurrection

متن اصلی
ز بس به ياد تو هر شب خدا خدا کردم به بارگاه خدا محشری به پا کردم
بياد دامنت افتادم و چو طفل يتيم سری به زانوی غم برده گريه ها کردم
Calling on God so many nights in the beloved's memory that the speaker has raised a resurrection in God's court. Love of the human beloved addressed through prayer — the boundary between divine and human longing dissolves.
About This Recording
Ze Bas Ba Yade Tu Har situates itself at the intersection of religious practice and erotic longing. The speaker is calling on God — not as prayer, exactly, but in the beloved's memory: the address to God is an overflow of address to the beloved.
'That in the court of God I have raised a resurrection' — qiyamat, resurrection, the Day of Judgment. The scale of the speaker's appeal to God has been so great that it has moved the divine court as if it were the Last Day. Love creating its own eschatology: this is the Sufi premise in its most direct form.
The closing image — 'like an orphaned child, I have laid my head on sorrow's knee and wept' — brings the cosmic back to the intimate. After the court of God and the resurrection, a child leaning into grief. Zahir's voice, moving through this range, makes the transition feel earned.
