Mastana Bezan Bar Sang — Drunkenly Dash Against the Stone — is one of the most extreme expressions of the antinomian position in Zahir's catalog: the speaker does not want comfort, remedy, or union. The positive goods of love poetry — promises of reunion, soothing of pain, restoration of dignity — are all explicitly refused. What is wanted instead is torment, dishonor, and wretchedness.

The request to be drawn 'from behind the curtain' (az poshte-ye pardah) and made notorious in the land is a request for public exposure — the curtain being a figure for privacy, concealment, social protection. To be drawn out from behind it is to be made visible in the most damaging way possible. The speaker is asking for the kind of love that removes all protection and makes the lover's devotion undeniable to everyone.

'Give me intoxicating wine — remedy my situation / And with tears from the sky, make me a drinker' — the final stanza reverses the opening, suddenly accepting the remedy (wine, intoxication) that was refused before. The reversal is not contradiction but escalation: the remedy is not soothing relief but dissolution through intoxication, which is a different kind of destruction than torment. Both are wanted. The sky's tears making a drinker of the speaker suggests being rained upon until one has absorbed the rain entirely.
